I just finished watching The Emperor’s New Groove on Netflix this past weekend and I’m really curious as to what exactly goes into Yzma’s Extract of Llama and how I can get my hands on one so I too can have a Llama face for a weekend ha! BTW, We’re anxiously waiting for Disney to come out with their own streaming service, that is going to be the day my small social life comes to an end.
I love watching this movie when I’m feeling down, it just cheers me right up! During the movie we both sort of had the same idea to make a cocktail inspired drink out of the extract of llama. We thought it could be a cool boozy shooter, so we contacted one of my friends back home who’s a chef and has some mixology experience and created this sweet shot.
We really had fun making these we even bought the cool glass vials (we got these) to try and make it as close as possible to the movie version. These little shooters are cool for Halloween parties or a Disney themed night, and don’t forget to pair them with some savory spinach puffs!
If you saw yesterday’s post, you may have seen the branding I designed for a Villain’s tavern… well to keep with the theme I thought I would create a poster for this recipe featuring Yzma’s Extract of Llama! I’m thinking of turning it into a series of posters and simultaneously create some boozy themed drinks. Mixing some graphic design with some cocktails and throwing in some Disney makes for a very happy Emmy haha.
Yzma’s Extract of Llama Blackberry Shot
This recipe is boozy and delicious. I think it would make Kronk proud. If I had time I would have made some spinach puffs to go with it but for now this will do. Check out the recipe below (or on the poster above) and get your groove on with these blackberry shots.

- Summon the forces of all evil and pull the lever.
- Shake until mixed well and pour in chilled vials.
- *Don’t forget to label correctly.
NOTE: I added a couple of drops of food coloring to give it that pink hue 🙂
