Three years ago I was stuck in this horrible loop that I could not get out of, I wish I would have had some entrepreneur mantras or affirmations to get me out of the funk. When I quit my full time job I had a big dream. A dream that I could be my own boss, have my own clients and make twice the money as I made from my cubicle. Things were not as easy as I thought.
My vicious loop consisted of something like this: Start the day motivated to work on my business, fall down the social media rabbit hole of comparing myself to other people, instantly feel horrible and doubt my talent. This would end with me curled up on the floor crying in self-loathing. It was not pretty. I wanted everything to work so badly that I just half expected it to be handed to me on a silver platter topped with a pretty pink bow. I let myself fall hard into this bizpression and became my biggest roadblock.
Let me just tell you, that if you are identifying with me, there is HOPE. We are all meant for great things, it’s just a matter of having the right perspective and the right tools to get there. By tools I mean mantras.
Why You Need Entrepreneur Mantras in Yo’ Life!
If you aren’t familiar with mantras, let me just say that they are the BEST most simple way to start changing your thoughts and beliefs. They are widely used in meditation as a source of intention.
Think of it as planting a little seed inside your noggin’. This little seed has an intention, meaning a purpose and reason for being. Let’s say you want to start a business that is profitable and you enjoy. Deep in your heart and soul you know you are meant to have this dream, you are worth it and you will attain it. That right there is your little seeds intention.
When you reach a roadblock or go down a rabbit hole, be prepared to battle it. Mantras are there for you to empower yourself to keep going.
Change Your Mindset, Change Your World
Mantras also help change our mindset. Whenever I start doubting myself now I can refer to my mantras and come out the other side feeling strong, empowered and motivated. If I believe that I am not good enough I can just recite a mantra that simply says ‘I am good enough and I have a lot to offer’. If I go down the social media rabbit hole and start comparing myself to other people I simply say ‘Good for them, not for me. Their success is not my failure.’
The more I repeat these mantras, the more my mindset starts to shift. No longer do I see someones Instagram profile and think, ‘Geez I’m never going to have 100K like her’, now it just doesn’t faze me. I went from automatically comparing myself, to just admiring the hustle and feeling empowered by them. If they can do it, so can I! Community over competition amiright?!
Entrepreneur Mantras to Get You Through The Tough Days
I know those tough days all too well. The ones filled with self-doubt and lack of motivation. Where you feel like being your own boss is full of never ending curveballs and even when you think you have something figured out, you find something else that needs your attention. Those days where you just want to give up, and actually do. I’ve been there, friend, the struggle is real.
But it doesn’t always have to be like that. I made a list of 5 entrepreneur mantras that I recite daily. I also use them every time I start feeling that nudge of self doubt on the back of my head… those whispers that make me feel like I am not enough.
Let me tell you something. YOU (yes you!), are GOOD ENOUGH. You are the most talented, most special, most amazing YOU. There is enough of everything for everyone and it is all waiting for you. You have your own secret sauce that is unique to you, there is no one else on the PLANET like you. Just stick to it, and recite any of these mantras when you need a little boost…
- Everything I need is already within me.
- I possess the talent to lead and inspire.
- I am stronger than my excuses.
- I see opportunities instead of problems.
- I am enough.
At the end of the day, your journey is yours only. Go at your own pace and do what feels right. The most important thing is to remember that you can actually have it all. It doesn’t matter how old you are, how many opportunities you have left behind, how many roadblocks, it will happen for you, all in due time. J.K. Rowling published her first Harry Potter book at age 32, and Arianna Huffington founded the Huffington Post when she was 55. You got this.
