10 Stylish Graphic Design Coffee Table Books

Sharing a roundup of my favorite and most stylish graphic design coffee table books! I love to use them as decor pieces around our home. Here are my top 10.

Since we’re slowly decorating our home room by room I thought I would do a roundup of stylish graphic design coffee table books that we’ve been using so far.

Both my husband Keal and I are graphic designers, so we love a good aesthetically pleasing design book! We kind of have been collecting books ever since our college days, when we lived in that tiny one bedroom LA apartment. I like to curate our collection and include a lot of books for inspiration in all areas of design, from interiors to photography, packaging, logos and everything in between.

Stylish Graphic Design Coffee Table Books

I love curating books that have cool designed spines. This is because when they are laying flat on let’s say a shelving unit or a console, it’s the element that stands out the most. So when I’m choosing books to style on my furniture, I make sure that they are bold, graphic and balanced!

Most of the books in this roundup can be paired together. We’ve had half of them for years and recently added more to the mix like the Andy Warhol Prints book. That one has such a cool spine design that we had to have it! But honestly my favorite graphic design coffee table book of all time is the Eat Me: Appetite for Design one. It’s full of packaging design and the actual design of the book itself is gorgeous and to die for!

I like a nice mix of different design industries. I feel like as a graphic designer you can get inspiration from all sorts of creative industries, which is why there is such a wide variety of books in this roundup from pattern work by Rebecca Atwood to a very cool Pantone book — because let’s face it… what graphic designer doesn’t love some good ol’ Pantone inspiration?

The most important thing in my opinion is to get books that will bring you joy! For me, no matter how cool that popular Tom Ford book looks on Pinterest home decor photos, it’s very un-me. So I tend to stick to things that I enjoy flipping through for inspiration and that match the rest of my house haha.

Hope you love the roundup I put together! If you want to check them out, I linked all of them below.

The Wes Anderson Collection: The Grand Budapest Hotel | Mid-Century Modern: Icons of Design | Annie Leibovitz at Work | Pantone the 20th Century in Color | Living with Pattern: Color, Texture, and Print at Home | Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney’s Animation | Andy Warhol Prints | From Japan | Eat Me: Appetite for Design | Lovely: Ladies of Animation
